Summer Academy in Geometry & Technology 2012

Dear Teacher Friends,

The Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fresno offers a unique opportunity this summer for middle and high school teachers and students.  We have designed a one week intensive workshop, titled “Summer Academy in Geometry & Technology 2012”, for talented students.  Please see the attached flyer and share it with talented or motivated students.

The Summer Academy for students will be accompanied by a one week intensive workshop titled “Teaching Geometry with Common Core Mathematical Practices”, for middle school or high school teachers.  In this unique workshop teachers will be learning about the content of the new Common Core Standards and about the implementation of the 8 standards of mathematical practices by observing and analyzing actual student learning that takes place in the Summer Academy.  Please see the attached flyer and share it with teachers who may benefit from it.

We are looking forward to see you and your students during the summer, participating in these activities.  The e-mail below includes web links to these events.
